随着太阳升起海浪泛波
随着夜风轻吹树叶沙沙
我每天告诉自己，美丽厦门就是我家
With the rising of the sun， and the lapping of the waves.
With the sweet breeze of the evening and the rustling of the trees.
I am reminded every day， that Xiamen and all it’s beauty is my home.

三年前我们初次相遇。你不知道，当时的我很紧张，虽然你从来没让我觉得自己不受欢迎。
来厦门之前，他们告诉我说，你纯洁又美丽。真的到厦门的时候，我发现此言非虚。我喝着这里的茶，吃着这里的食物，躺在这里的沙滩上，你对我这样一个疲惫的旅人实在太好。
这里的人们同样爱着你，我常常在想，他们是否知道自己有多幸运？如果他们像我一样见过世界如此多的地方，他们一定会知道，没有任何地方能比得上你。
2016年莫兰蒂台风来袭，有那么短暂的瞬间，你的美丽消失了，我很难过，但是你知道那些爱着你的人会把你修整好。后来，北京派来救援团队，他们像蜜蜂一样忙碌的照料着你，你的芬芳再次四溢，而我们也再次幸福的在你身上采集花蜜。
厦门，你是镶嵌在海里的一颗宝石。现在我们更加了解彼此，你已经成为了我的家乡，一个对我的家庭来说安全的地方。
我们的孩子会像我一样逐渐了解你，他们会说你的话语，欣赏你的美丽，他们会知道放学后在海滩上游玩的美妙感觉。要知道，那并不是普通的沙滩，是你那金沙遍地，干净如天空的海滩。
世界各地的人们都慕名而来，他们用影像记录你的美，当离开时，他们都觉得自己变得更年轻快乐，就像饥渴的旅人得到了一杯冷饮，重获新生。
尽管如此，我们仍然一次次为你感到惊奇，就像小孩子纯真的双眼见到前所未见的东西一样。那些不爱你，不理解你，从未与你相遇的人，他们真的错失了美好。
当我在钓鱼时沉思你的宁静，或漫步你的山间，或游走你的水边，很感激能拥有这些美妙的时光。如果有一天我必须离开，去到很远的地方，相信那时，关于你的美好记忆将永远温暖着我。
It was 3 years ago when we first met。 You didn’t know me， I was nervous but you never made me feel unwelcome.
They told me that you were clean and beautiful， their words were so true。 I drank your tea， ate your food and lay upon your beaches， how kind you were to a weary traveler such as I.
Your people love you too， I wonder if they know how lucky they are， had they seen so much of the world like I， they would know that nowhere else compares to you.
Once， a typhoon came， and for a brief moment， your beauty was diminished， I was sad but you knew that your loving people would repair you.
Beijing sent it’s finest men and women， like bees busily nursing you back to health， once more your sweetness abounded， and once again we all enjoyed your nectar.
You are a jewel set in the sea， and now we know each other， you have become our home， a safe place for my family， a lesson in harmony and peace.
Our children will know you like we do， they will speak your language and enjoy your beauty， they will know what it is like to finish school and play on the beach， not just any beach， your long golden sands， so clean， as clean as the air that surrounds them.
People from all over come to admire you and take their photo with you， when they leave， they feel younger and happier like a thirsty traveler who delights in a drink of cool water and continues refreshed.
And still， we marvel at you like a child marvels at something his innocent eyes had not seen before， those who do not love you， do not understand you， those who have never visited you， are lacking a great thing indeed.
And when I am fishing and contemplating your tranquility， or walking in your mountains， or sailing in your waters， I am grateful to have this time with you， for one day I must go， to a land far away， and when that time comes， your memories shall still warm me.
